Captain Jimi received his first real taste of fly-fishing while attended college in Montana, where the streams and rivers are abundant with challenging freshwater catch. Fly fishing quickly became a way of life for Jimi so it came as no surprise when he began giving guided tours for Headwaters Angling in 1983. Soon after beginning, Captain Jimi became one of the most popular guides in the Madison River area.
It wasn’t until the early 1990’s that Captain Jimi made it down to the Keys. While vacationing in the islands to catch some Tarpon, he soon became hooked on the excitement of saltwater flats fly-fishing. Thanks his new addiction, Captain Jimi decided to move to the Florida Keys. He began his fulfilling career as a fishing guide in the Florida Keys in the mid 90’s.
