The Sunset Shark & Tarpon Tour was created to ensure thrill seekers receive the best possible charter for them while in Key West, Florida. Imagine enjoying the beautiful Key West sunset as it descends into the majestic waters of the ocean. This will be just what happens when you sail through the waters and take pleasure in the entertainment that surrounds you as you enjoy the company of others.
You will have the opportunity to sit and enjoy a cold beer before or after you battle huge sharks in an otherwise peaceful environment. As day gives way to night you will hear the Tarpon rising to the top of the surface in order to feed. Once this happens it’s possible you might feel your rod begin to shake.
Once you hear this one simple sound you might then see a Silver King as it moves through the air. This is it! Everything is falling into place now. You are now in the middle of the battle you have been waiting for as you attempt to catch a true ocean predator.
One of the species you might be looking for is the shark. On our Sunset Shark and Tarpon Trip you might be able to find such varieties as Lemon, Hammerhead, Bull, or Black tip. Sharks that are caught on this trip range in size from six to ten feet. Meanwhile, the Tarpon that are caught on this trip start at around 75 pounds and move up in size to a whopping 160 pounds.
Using live and chunk bait definitely helps the angler to reel these large catches in. When you add this to the fact that when the sun goes down the Tarpon and Shark tend to be more active rather than in the daylight hours. The Tarpon will move to the top of the water for surface feeding, as will the shark, and that is when you will be able to begin the fight for your ocean predator. It is sure to be an exciting time!
Our Key West Sunset Shark and Tarpon Trip runs for a total length of four hours. Trips begin at 6:00 pm and last until 10:00 pm. The total cost for this trip is $450.00. Once you have booked the tour you do not need to worry. We handle the bulk of the responsibility. All instruction, licenses, equipment, and bait are taken care of for you.
