Captain Joe Mercurio was born with ocean brine in his veins. Joe’s father was a fishing captain who taught his son to have love and respect for the water. In the 1940’s his father was one of the original Key West charter captains. Today, Joe has followed in his footsteps. Over the course of his career, Joe has worked with a number of Key West charter captains, each teaching him different valuable lessons about fishing the local waters. Now he can offer this experience to you on your tour.
Joe began his career as a young man filleting fish and washing boats. As he worked his way up, he had the chance to become the first mate. Eventually, he became a commercial fisherman. All this was accomplished before the age of 19! In 1976, Joe took a chance and decided to fulfill his dream of becoming a charter captain. It has been smooth sailing ever since!
The Triple Time contains two lovely staterooms, two bathrooms, and a fully air-conditioned cabin. The living room area is sure to please with all the comforts of home including a CD player, television, and VCR. The Triple Time includes numerous high tech computers that are used to guide island excursions and to aid in fishing. Additionally, a large bait well is on board to enhance your fishing experience.
